Hola! My name is Elena and I’m a food content creator. I love to cook the Latin + Caribbean dishes I grew up eating in my childhood. Growing up Puerto Rican brings memories of eating delicious food and fun times spent with familia.
then & now
As a child, I spent many summers in Puerto Rico, eating limber on my Abuela’s front porch. I grew up in Hoboken, NJ just a hop and a skip away from New York City.
Every day I’d come home from school to the aromatic smell of sofrito cooking in the kitchen. Puerto Rican food was very much a part of my life then and still is now.
My love of cooking runs deep. It is woven into my family’s DNA. I come from a long lineage of incredible cooks, and my greatest teacher has always been my mother.

Now I’m a mom of two beautiful and energetic children, Ella and Cameron. I love cooking Caribbean recipes and teaching them about our heritage.
As a mom, I hope to pass down my Puerto Rican culture to my children by way of love, laughter, food, and experiences. My recipes are my love letter to my family.
